The process of election of universities in potential students

Abstract

This article is part of a research carried out in the year 2006. Its main objective was to analyze the main characteristics of the process of decision- making of the students who apply for a place in universities of the city of Córdoba. The research was developed on the basis of a methodological design that combined a qualitative and a qualitative stage.
The current piece of writing makes reference to; on the one hand, the analysis of the data obtained from the interviews made to young people that were in their senior high school level, and who intended to take up a university career. On the other hand, the article deals with the results of the quantitative stage. In such stage, a structured questionnaire was used to measure the behavior of the variables applied in the first stage.
