Evaluation of University Learning after the Application of the MAC Model based on Competencies

Abstract

Introduction: The Learning by Competencies Model (MAC) revolutionized the current educational paradigm. This model constitutes a new educational orientation that aims to provide adequate responses to the needs of the information society, and has been adopted by the Universidad Siglo 21 taking into account the improvements in performance and quality of learning that have been obtained in other university institutions. Objective: To reflect on the progress achieved after the MAC, particularly in the scope of this Institution. Method: Developing a study to quantify the level of improvement in students. The results obtained have been very positive, confirming that they have produced be er effects on learning and on the performance shown by the students in the different evaluation instances and, in conclusion, they have confirmed the wisdom of the decision to adopt the MAC by allowing a leap in quality in the training of students, as they are the main protagonists of their educational journey, with a center of gravity focused on excellence and practical tasks..
