Analysis of the use of the Moodle platform in time of pandemic at the Professor Luciano Díaz School in the Dominican Republic

Abstract

This paper presents the results of an investigation on the management of teachers who use the Moodle platform, the academic use given by the students of said teachers, 5th and 6th grade students, and support from parents from home, a study carried out in pandemic time of the Professor Luciano Díaz School in the period 2020-2021.The investigation was carried out under the quantitative methodological approach, the universe of study was made up of five (5) teachers, ninety-eight (98) students and one hundred and forty-one (141) parents. It was carried out through three surveys: the first to the teacher, to know the information he has and the use he gives to the platform, the second to the students to know the resources that They use, the activities they carry out and the opinion in relation to the use of TIC for academic purposes and the third to parents and representatives to know the support for academic activities from home. The results point to the training of teachers, especially in the use and management of information and communication technologies (TIC), to the implementation of challenging teaching strategies for students and to the training of parents to provide support. suitable for your children.
