In this essay, the author points towards a critical review of the professional profile and the general principles of the training of journalists in the region, with a view to the emergence of the knowledge society; He reviews the panorama of the current professional practice, based on the results of the Worlds of Journalism study and points out key aspects to consider when generating the curricular reform of his teaching
