Process of building video lessons for a MOOC using hardware and software in Nursing
Abstract
Context. An important element in all MOOCs is audiovisual material such as videolessons, which is a growing trend due to the social interest that this medium has aroused and which can be a valid alternative to convert face-to-face teaching to a MOOC format (Massive Open Online Courses). Objective. To describe the construction process of the video-lessons for a MOOC course focused on training in the health area, specifically the subject of "Hardware and Software in Nursing" at a higher level. Method. Workflow in phases of pre-production, production and post-production based on and adapted from the point of view of the methodology inherent in the creation of a didactic video.Results.Three videos were developed with a duration between 5 and 10 minutes approximately, for each of the four blocks of the course structured in five sections: (1) Presentation, (2) Objective of the video, (3) Theme and its importance, (4) Steps of the theme and (5) Conclusion. The creation of the classes was quite a challenge, it required a multidisciplinary team with technological skills, creativity, commitment, among others, as well as following a series of steps during the construction process.
